Allegheny College Carr Hall Garden

Who we are: A hands-on learning and teaching garden for the Allegheny College campus and community.
Our practices: Our goal is to minimize our impact on the surrounding land and water and to produce healthy produce to eat. We do this by using compost to provide nutrients for our crops; we handpick weeds, and use physical barriers such as row cover cloth to reduce pest damage. We do not use synthetic herbicide, pesticides, or fertilizers.
Our products: We grow over 80 varieties of vegetables and herbs each year. We also grow strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and grapes.
